HOW TO GET THERE
Capiz is located in the western Visayas region, at the northeastern portion of the Panay Island, bordering Aklan and Antique to the west, and Iloilo to the south. Capiz faces the Sibuyan Sea to the north.
Travel time to Roxas City, the main gateway to the Province of Capiz, is 45 minutes by plane (2 flights daily), around 16 hours by boat, and 14 hours by Ro-Ro (Roll-on-Roll-off) busses from Manla. It is approximately 2 hours drive by bus from Iloilo City and 4 hours from Caticlan, Malay, Aklan.
Getting around:
Busses, jeepneys, public utility vans (PUV’s) ply the main streets and smaller roads between the different towns in Capiz. Then from Roxas City it takes 15 minutes by jeepney, tricycle or van to reach the town of Panay (7.5 km).
The province has a well developed system of road networks connecting to highways. It is easy to get around the different towns as well as the nearby provinces in the Panay Island. Fares are fixed except for taxicabs which have metered fare. Capiz is the first to have meter-issuing-receipt taxicabs outside Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila.
